So close yet so far away. The car seems to be in this limbo mode when i think i’ll be able to drive it but then a new problem arises. It’s quite frustrating, i feel like i’ve spent the last 2 seasons diagnosing the car.

So currently i have 2 main issues.

The first one being the brakes, the pedal is stiff as rock and has zero travel. I’ve messed with the pedal adjustment, booster, master, bled the system. The only problem we’ve solved is that the check valve was reversed which caused the brakes to lock once the master cylinder was bolted down. The pedal is still stiff with zero movement

Second is cylinder #1 misfire. The car seems to idle on cylinders 2,3,4 but once you rev the motor cylinder 1 catches up. We switched positions on the coil packs, after than we did the same thing with the injectors. The problem followed with injector 1 so i pulled them out. A local shop will test them and hopefully can be fixed, i’ll try and replace the o’rings while i’m at it. I really dont feel like replacing injectors. If thats the case anyone have a spare 550cc side feed?

So its safe to say that i wont be able to make it to season close DDAY 35. I’m sad, but the most important thing to me is to be able to cruise the car at least once before the weather turns the shit. That leaves me with about a week. I really really hope i can make progress this weekend.

regardless if the check valve was reversed

booster is probably bad and trapping vacuum

either that or you need to adjust the pushrod
